Brett Whiteley Studio 2 Raper Street Surry Hills NSW 2010
Judith Hill is a powerhouse singer-songwriter from Los Angeles who moves effortlessly through funk, jazz, hip-hop and soul. Getting her start in the early 2000s, she was a duet partner with Michael Jackson and featured in the wildly popular documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, before recording her debut solo album, 2015’s Back in Time – produced by Prince.
Australian artist Brett Whiteley was greatly influenced by his time in the US, living like a rockstar. Based in New York’s Chelsea Hotel, he painted The American Dream – one of his greatest major works – while there. Hill’s career and influences also speak to the breadth of painter Whiteley’s music collection, spanning Elton John, Phil Collins, Roberta Flack to Janis Joplin, Lionel Ritchie and Santana.
Experience Hill’s electric vocals and insider stories in her special live performance at the Brett Whiteley Studio.
