Choreographer Joel Bray unpacks Garabari

"Garabari is our gathering, our temple, our parliament – but it's also our club and our party space... I hope audiences have a really visceral experience of what it's like to come into a corroborree."

Meet the dancers

"This is high-energy, high intensity, fully immersive..."
"This story means a lot to me."

The ancient story which inspired it all

"It's about the making of the Murrumbidgee River. It's a feminist story, about a brave young woman called Baluhna, who stood up to the goanna-men who were hoarding all of the water."

This is your chance to participate in a millennia-old ritual on a monumental scale. Grab your tickets here.
