The Rebel Theatre is the Australian Theatre for Young People's world-class performance space, home to emerging artists from across Australia. Situated in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct, The Rebel boasts spectacular views of Sydney's Harbour and features award-winning architecture within the historic 1900s Walsh Bay Wharves.

This venue is on The Thirsty Mile for Sydney Festival 2024.

For the health and safety of yourself and others, we highly recommend all eligible audience members over the age of 12 please wear a mask in the foyer and inside The Rebel Theatre unless drinking. We also ask that if you experience any COVID symptoms or feel ill, that you do not attend the performance. If you are sick, please contact our Box Office to arrange alternative tickets.

Getting Here

There are a number of different accessible transport options to get to us at Pier 2/3, including bus, train and car. Accessible parking spaces are available nearby on Hickson Road. The exact locations of these can be viewed on the City of Sydney’s access and inclusion map here.

Public Transport
The 324 and 325 bus run along Hickson Road and stop just outside the Pier 2/3 awning.

Circular Quay railway station, bus and ferry terminus is the closest public transport hub. It is a brisk 15-minute walk from both Circular Quay and Wynyard station to The Rebel Theatre and Pier 2/3.

Parking
Limited on-street parking is available outside Pier 2/3 on Hickson Road. Please make sure you give yourself adequate time to park before the event starting time.

Otherwise, the following parking stations are also available. We recommend booking your spot ahead of time.

When you arrive at Pier 2/3 please walk down the left-hand side of the Pier towards the Harbour (with the Pier 2/3 building and Harbour Bridge on your right). About half-way down, on your right you'll see the shared foyer. Follow the signs to The Rebel Theatre!
